THE CONCERT - PICC, OCT. 25, 2011

awesome! amazing! two words to describe libera. i'm so stuck with these choirboys, they live up to their "angelic voices". three times i heard these x'mas songs. while at the mall prior to the M & G, my CD which was given to me during the meet & greet and hearing them sing live on their concert made it more special.

we wanted to get to the venue a bit early. carmela (my daughter) reported for work but would go undertime as we told her we need to have allowance for traffic (wishful thinking). we'll have dinner elsewhere and be at the PICC at least an hour before the concert. besides, i want to meet lala's family and do a bit of chat-chat as i knew we won't be able to mingle during & after the concert.

we were still able to use my husband's privelege (being a former employee of bangko sentral/monetary board) the use of executive parking at the back of the PICC. otherwise, we'll have to spend some precious minutes looking for a parking area. the guards whom he was familiar with assisted us, very graciously ushered me & my daughter to the executive entrance much to the surprise of the 2 PICC staffs in charge of registration (for PICC and VIPs/guests). why, we were also able to use the executive ladies room with just the two of us! on our way to the ladies room, we met mr. roberto de ocampo (on his way to the backstage area) who recognized me (thank you, sir!) and made a remark about how this concert was better than the 2009/2010 concerts (in terms of attendance). "we're performing to a sold out concert" was his reply. i didn't want to take much of his time - i thank him again for bringing back libera to perform for us.

a few minutes down the line and we were ushered to our seats (b 13-14). but i couldn't find lala's party. later i learned they were caught in traffic. even the rest of the crowd came a bit late - finally, people started to fill up the empty seats, some started clapping as a signal for the concert to commence.

there was 'smoke' coming from the right end of the stage. the lights dimmed. the british and phil. national anthems were played. let the games, errrrr, concert begin....
